How to do CE certification for wireless microphones? What are the standards and
CE-RED certification profile
On March 9, 1999, the European Union issued a directive on radio and telecommunication terminal equipment (1999/5 / EC, Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment, R & TTE), and requires that member states begin to implement it from April 8, 2000 The instruction. The directive consists of three main requirements:
1.Safty (Article 3.1a), direct reference to the LVD (2006/95 / EC) directive.
2.EMC (Article 3.1b), which is basically equivalent to the EMC (2004/108 / EC) directive. The test standard is ETSI EN 301489 series.
3.Spectrum (Article 3.2), effective use of spectrum requirements, test standards are classified according to different product categories, different frequency bands, different wireless technologies, such as ETSI EN300328, EN300440, EN301357, EN300220, etc.
1.RED product certification scope
1. Short-range wireless remote control products (SRD), such as: remote control toy cars, remote control alarm systems, remote control doorbells, remote control on 2, remote control, mouse, keyboard, etc. 3, professional radio remote control products (PMR) such as: professional wireless walkie-talkies, wireless microphones, etc. 4. Wired telephone, fax, MODEM, answering machine, small switchboard (PABX) 5. Radiotelephone CTO, CT1, CT1… 6. ISDN (digital telephone products) 7. DECT (enhanced digital wireless telephone) 8. Mobile phone GSM, CDMA test 9, Bluetooth products such as: Bluetooth headset
2.RED test project
1.Electromagnetic compatibility test (EMC test)
2. Safety test LVD (In the new directive, this test is also required for battery-input RF products)
3.Test of radio communication equipment according to European ETSI standards (RF test)
4.Notification of European Allowed Spectrum
5.CTR (TBR) test
6. Electrical Safety and Health Protection Test (SAR Evaluation)
3.General process of RED application
For low frequency wireless products, we usually refer to 27MHZ, 49MHZ, 40MHZ, 433MHZ, 315MHZ, 88-108MHZ, 35MHZ, 72MHZ.These frequencies are different in each region and country, please see the following:
Usable frequency bands in the United States: 27MHZ, 49MHZ, 40MHZ, 433MHZ, 315MHZ, 88-108MHZ, 72MHZ
Available frequency bands in Europe: 27MHZ, 40MHZ ,, 35MHZ, 433MHZ
For such simple wireless products, we usually encounter the need to apply for FCC, R & TTE, etc.
Brief explanation of FCC, R & TTE application process:
1) Complete test samples provided by customers and accessories are provided to the laboratory;
2) The customer needs to provide complete technical information (circuit diagram, PCB layout, BOM, product manual, circuit description, technical performance description), and this information must be in English electronic file file;
3) Tested by the laboratory and issued a test report;
4) Laboratory audit data and reports;
5) The laboratory submits the test report and technical information to TCB, FCC or Notify Body for review;
6) Certificate issued by TCB, FCC or Notify Body;
7) The application is successful.
